How much does he want for one of them? Are there any pictures?

Something else she's considering is a tub mounted tire carrier and keeping the stock bumper as is, but we need to do some more research on the pros and cons of that option. Having never owned a jeep myself, I'm learning about these things too.

Check out Badlands Buggy and they have plans & pictures. I have pictures on my Facebook account if you would like to see it. mine is the one on the Right......The tire carrier is the only part I have now to sell and would need some modification to fit other steel bumpers.

hikermike: let me know if you are interested in trading that tire carrier for an aries Trailchaser centre section as the base for a new build.

OOTB it is designed to fit JK. I have two. Modifying one to fit my CJ. The making end caps to suit.
It has two deep tabs that follow the inner profile of the bumper and stick out 4-6" to bolt to the frame. I plan to cut those off, add an offset, gusset, and weld the tabs back on.
Im up fro trades but gripping onto cash. Let me know.
