    tires

wondering where people are buying tires from these days?

discount tire direct no longer offers free shipping to canada so they are not very competitive with canadian prices anymore.
    thanks

Talk to Jordan at Treadhead, he beat "Nothing but tires" and a couple other discount places with his prices on 37" Maxxis tires.

I buy mine from Trail Tire in Sherwood Park. They won't be the cheapest, but they are one of the few that still book appointments and the service is good.

Since im on the topic of tires anyone know if its normal to see tread depth differences of a few mm on the same tire for mud tires on 4x4s?
All 4 of my tires seem to have varying tread depths. Front end is all tight-toe in is 1/16 to 1/8", steers straight,no wobbles, pulls, good air pressure, etc. Tires rotated every 10kkms.
    Thanks

Slippage, spinning, corners...doubt you can actually "evenly" wear a tire. Slight difference in pressure, all kinds of things.

My last set of Irock's where not concentric the hole in the centered was not centered on the tread. From what I understand this is a common problem with Interco tyres. My Goodyear MTR Kevlar's appear to be wearing evenly. I think that balancing with beads as opposed to conventional wheel weights might contribute to uneven wear in your tyres. The reason I say this is the beads added load to the inside of the tyre tread.
